How do your exclusive 4 days work at Shillingstone House

Thursday - You put up the marquee of your choice either on one of the lawns or in the field in front of the house.

Friday - is for decorating - you can bring friends and family to help. The Loos need to be in place first thing! Guests can camp on Friday night but must arrive by 7pm and keep to the camping ground to preserve the decorations etc set up on the lawns and marquee. We have space for 5 VW size camper vans - nothing larger.

Saturday - is for your celebration! You can bring a favourite pet, by arrangement, to the ceremony, to carry the rings etc but they need to be cared for afterwards off site. Music stops at midnight but you can continue to chat quietly in the camping ground and by arrangement can use the firepit lit with fairy lights or nightlights. Recent dry weather and the difficulty in finding a responsible person at midnight means that a real fire is no longer allowed. The generator goes off as soon as suppliers have left the marquee.  Afternoon music i.e. before 7.00, needs to be of the gentler type so as not to blast the village which is very close.

Children are welcomed but they must be always supervised - our trees are not safe to climb etc. Sadly, we must ask that you do not provide balls to throw, hit or kick as even under supervision they cause too much damage.

Sunday - You can have brunch in the marquee on Sunday, have a fire pit or barbeque etc. The grounds need to be cleared by Sunday evening of all decorations and rubbish for the Marquee to come down first thing on Monday.
